A 2-minute beard routine for Indian men

Most men we know have the same beard routine: wash face, towel off, leave. Then they wonder why the beard feels like a scrubber by evening and the skin under it itches.

You don't need five products. You need two minutes.

Why Indian beards get rough

  • Hard water and soap dry out both the hair and the skin under it.
  • Heat and humidity make you wash your face more often.
  • Coarse hair naturally feels rougher when it is dry.

The fix is simple: put moisture back in, every day, on the hair and on the skin.

The 2-minute routine

Minute 1: Wash and dry. Splash the beard with lukewarm water while you wash your face. A regular face wash is fine; skip harsh bathing soap on the beard. Pat dry; don't rub hard.

Minute 2: Cream it. Take a pea-sized amount of beard cream, rub it between your palms, and work it into the beard with both hands, down to the skin. Use your thumbs along the jawline. Whatever is left on your palms, run through your hair.

That's it. Comb if you like.

What to look for in a beard cream

  • Light, not greasy, so you can wear it to work
  • Something hydrating for the skin underneath, like aloe vera
  • A smell you don't mind all day

Our Hair & Beard Prewash Cream has aloe vera and cold-pressed coconut oil, with a clean vetiver (khus) and lavender smell. One small jar does both hair and beard.
