Our story

The 30 minutes before the wash.

Most of us grew up with the Sunday head bath. Amma warmed coconut oil in a katori, worked it into our scalp, and made us sit still before the bath. Nobody called it self-care. It was just what you did on a Sunday.

Then came hostels, jobs, early meetings and late nights. The oil bottle stayed in the cupboard, and the habit quietly went with it.

Why we started

Bringing back what our families already knew.

Mysuru Naturals was started by Rachita Janardhan to bring back the healthy habits our families grew up with: the Sunday oil massage, aloe from the backyard, coconut oil for everything.

The problem was never the ritual. It was time. So we made a version that fits a weekday. Our Damage Repair Prewash Cream goes on dry hair, stays for 30 minutes while you get on with your morning, and washes out with your usual shampoo.

More than 1,100 jars have gone out so far. Around it we make a few small, everyday things: two champi oils, a cooling Aloe Coconut Cream, a Coffee Orange body mousse, and lip balms you can carry anywhere.

How we make it

Slow, simple, and nothing to hide.

1

Only natural ingredients

Plant oils, butters, herbs and essential oils. The same coconut, aloe, kalonji, khus and rosemary that have been part of Indian hair and skin care for generations.

2

Small batches, no shortcuts

We buy only from makers we trust and make every batch slowly, so the oils and herbs keep what makes them good. Made under ISO 9001 and GMP certified processes.

3

Every ingredient on the label

What's on the label is what's in the jar. The full list is on every product page, so you can read it before you buy.

  • No parabens
  • No sulphates
  • No silicones
  • No mineral oil
  • No artificial colour

The name

Why Mysuru.

The name comes from Mysuru Rajya, the older name of the land that became Karnataka. It's where sandalwood, jasmine and the Sunday oil bath are part of everyday life, not a trend.

We are a small Karnataka company, and we'd like to stay close to where these habits come from.

What we believe

Oil first, then wash. Just like Amma said.
